Virtualization

Desktop Virtualization uses software to create a Virtual Machine (VM) that emulates a physical computer. This creates a separate OS environment that is logically isolated from the host server. By providing multiple Virtual Machines at once, this approach allows several operating systems to run simultaneously on a single physical machine.

Rather than paying for many under-utilized server machines, each dedicated to a specific workload, server virtualization allows those workloads to be consolidated onto a smaller number of more fully-used machines.

Accelerated Technology is pleased to announce it's newest product- Netflexibility. Netflexibility was designed to simplify technology in the workplace. Through our years of network managed services, we have seen the headaches that technology can cause companies, including our own. We knew there had to be a better way. Through many months of research and development, we came up with Netflexibilty. The main idea of Netflexibilty is that you run many virtual, or digital-versions of, computers on a single hardware device (a server). Then, using existing physical computers, employees can connect to the “digital computers” which are able to utilize the full power of the server. The advantages of virtualization can be illustrated by examining traffic. Every car on the road has the ability to seat 4 people, yet in most cases, only 1 seat is used. 3 seats are completely wasted. However, ride-sharing allows for all 4 seats to be utilized. In this example, each seat would be processing power which exists on the server. Netflexibilty allows you to utilize all 4 “seats” on the server instead of wasting 3, so that the benefits of Netflexibilty are realized instantaneously. Netflexibilty also provides many long-term benefits. In a typical workplace, if a computer goes down, it could be days before the machine gets to a functional level again, and data could be permanently lost. With Netflexibilty, replacing the computer is as simple as replacing a file. Netflexibilty provides a replacement computer in minimal time with no data loss.
